She proclaims she doesn't know who she would be if she didn't know the Lord. Do you know who you are? You may be known in many different ways. Perhaps you are known as a brother or a sister. Perhaps you are known as a cousin. Perhaps you are known as a classmate. You may be a parent and a child, a mentor or an apprentice, or even a leader and a follower all at the same time. Some may think you are an awesome person, while others do not think very highly of you at all. The question is who are you? Do you become a truck driver just because you drive a truck? If you spend most of your time painting, does that make you a painter? Perhaps the best way to truly know who you are and what you are suppose to do is by getting to know the one who made you. Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still and know that I am God." When we better understand the one who made us, we better understand who we were made to be.

Lauren Daigle - Thank God I Do (Official Music Video)

While facing his fears, Tauren makes a bold declaration by saying "I'm calling the angels down." We know Jesus had the power to call down angels, but do we? The theme of the song is restoration from what has been lost in life. Sometimes restoration happens gradually in the course of being faithful and trusting God. Sometimes God does a miracle.

Evoking the name of Jesus to call down angels is not a small thing and should never be taken lightly. We know that God can work miracles. If he couldn't, he wouldn't be God. We know from reading the Bible God has worked miracles. Some people have received miracles personally which causes them to believe for more miracles. The question isn't can God work a miracle, but will he?

It is true that sometimes God answers our prayers with the answer, wait. As much as I don't like to hear that I have to wait, I like it even less when the answer to my prayer is no. Yet, it is highly unlikely that God is upset with us for asking. On the contrary, He goes as far as to say there are times we have not because we ask not.

Some feel like Christian music can be too unrealistic. You may feel "calling angels down" to take back what you have lost is a bit too much. But when we listen to the end of this song, there are some examples Tauren sings about that we can all agree on. God wants you to have your peace back. God wants you to have your joy back.

I have a confession. When I am driving with no one else in my car, and this song comes on the radio, I turn the volume all the way up. Even if my life is not in crisis at the moment, I am reminded of a time when guilt and shame dictated how I perceived my situation. This song helped me to overcome those feelings. Perhaps it can help you too.

When we talk about taking back what the enemy stole, that enemy may be drugs, alcohol, sexual additions, abuse, anger, and a host of other issues which come against our very souls. Not only can these vices attack us, they can attack our families. It may take a process of healing to over come our past, but then again, there may be a “God Moment” that changes everything. We’re talking the type of change we could never make happen on our own.

Tauren Wells - Take It All Back (Official Music Video)
